Michelle Theriault Excited for 2010 NCWTS Debut at ORP
Kicks off season with Fast Track Racing, ProGold Lubricants
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (July 20, 2010) - Michelle Theriault is ready to get back on track in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at O'Reilly Raceway Park for the AAA Insurance 200 presented by J.D. Byrider. This race marks the 2010 debut for the 24-year-old driver of the No. 48 ProGold Lubricants Chevrolet
"This is such a great opportunity for me, ProGold Lubricants and VP Parts Warehouse to get on track and I'm thrilled to be doing it at ORP," Theriault said. "I like the track because it has a different line and such a great history."
"After being off track for most of the last year, I couldn't be happier to have had this opportunity come together," Theriault said. "Right now we're really focused on trying to bring on more partners so we can extend our race schedule this season and put together something full time for the 2011 season. We're really hoping for a solid run this weekend at ORP."
Theriault was last on track in the NCWTS at Iowa Speedway in 2009. She finished 36th in that race after getting caught up in a wreck on lap two. During the 2009 season Theriault also competed at Memphis and Kentucky, and attempted to qualify for the race at Chicago.
Racing kicks off at ORP for the AAA Insurance 200 presented by J.D. Byrider on Friday, July 23rd at 11 a.m. EST for NCWTS practice, followed by qualifying at 5:10 p.m. EST. The green flag drops at 8 p.m. EST for the 200 lap/137.5 mile race.
The race will be broadcast live Friday, July 23rd on the Speed Channel at 7:30 p.m. and on the Motor Racing Network at 7:30 p.m.

ORP History: This weekend will mark Michelle Theriault's first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at O'Reilly Raceway Park. She previously raced at the track during the 2005 USAR Pro Cup Series season. She started 29th and finished 36th.
ProGold Pro: Theriault is more than a ProGold Lubricants brand ambassador; she's now also an employee. After most recently working for Speedway Motorsports' US Legends Cars International as their communications manager, she took a position with the Atlanta-based lubricant company. Theriault began her training this week. A new job and her 2010 NCWTS debut all in the same week!
Last Time on Track: Michelle Theriault last took the track in the NCWTS during the 2009 season at Iowa. She started 28th and finished in 36th after getting caught up in a wreck on lap two.
The Fast Track: Fast Track Racing Enterprises was last on track in the NCWTS at Iowa. Driver Chad McCumbee finished 31st after retiring on lap 27. The team has competed in nine races this season. Their best finish came at Martinsville in March when Hermie Sadler drove the #48 Chevrolet to a 12th place finish.
A Female Field: 24-year-old Theriault is making her 2010 debut at ORP along with fellow up-and-coming female driver, 18-year-old Johanna Long. The two join NCWTS regular Jennifer Jo Cobb as the three fastest women in NASCAR's toughest series.
Track Fact: O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis is the third smallest track on the NCWTS circuit. At .686 mile it is behind Bristol Motor Speedway, .533 mile, and Martinsville Speedway, .526 mile.
Did you know?: Did you know during the 2006 USAR Pro Cup Series season Theriault was the highest finishing female (fifth in the points), and she became the first female to ever qualify into the championship series?
