Erick Rudolph and the No. 98 Heinke-Baldwin Racing team will race in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour's inaugural race at Lime Rock Park on Saturday, July 3.

LIME ROCK PARK - This is Rudolph's first race at Lime Rock Park as well as his first NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour road course race. In preparation for the race, the Ransomville, N.Y., native has been testing at Lime Rock Park with a driving instructor.

LAST RACE RECAP - Rudolph had trouble early in the New England 100 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, finishing 42 laps down in 28th position after losing a transmission on lap 7.

IN THE POINTS - After several weekends filled with bad luck, Rudolph sits 14th in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour point standings.

- "We've been practicing at Lime Rock, but I have never raced there. This will be my first road course race, so it should be interesting. It will be a good time. We have been having some tough luck, but hopefully we can turn it around and have a solid finish."

Heinke-Baldwin Racing was formed in 2009 by H&H Motorsports owner Al Heinke and Tommy Baldwin Racing owner Tommy Baldwin. Both Baldwin and Heinke grew up racing in New England and saw an opportunity to work together to help young drivers pursue their dreams to race.
