Driver Matt McCall Stays Busy During Off-season

Matt McCallMOORESVILLE, North Carolina (March 4, 2010) - Matt McCall, two-time United Auto Racing Association (UARA) Series Champion, has been working on his business, Matt McCall Motorsports (MX3), and staying busy at the racetrack during his racing off-season.

MX3, established by McCall, provides comprehensive racing information and fully race-ready shocks. Combining McCall's mechanical engineering degree from UNC-Charlotte and experience working with some of the best technical shock engineers in NASCAR, MX3 is known for making high-quality products. MX3 covers all aspects of set-up and design for Late Model racing, including: shock and spring tuning, four-link tech, handling fixes, tire maintenance, chassis fabrication and setup.

While actively seeking sponsorship to race, McCall has not stopped going to the racetrack and assisting drivers and teams through MX3. McCall got the opportunity to demonstrate his versatility at the NASCAR Toyota All-star Showdown in January, switching from sitting behind the wheel to sitting atop the pit box when he assisted the No. 11 Lucas Oil Chevrolet driver Jason Patison as their race engineer.

On Feb. 28, McCall traveled to Dillon, SC to participate in a one-day test session at Dillon Motor Speedway. At the test, he assisted Caraway Speedway's 2009 Late Model Truck Division Rookie of the Year Clint King with coaching and car setup information to prepare him for his upcoming race season.

The 2009 UARA champion was recently featured on the show Short Track Auto Racing Source (STARS) on Racer's Reunion Radio. The show was a perfect fit for McCall, as he has been very successful at short tracks. McCall has won races, championships and pole awards at short tracks along the east coast, including renowned Bristol Motor Speedway and local track Hickory Motor Speedway. During the spot, McCall discussed his 2009 championship team and season, as well as future plans for his racing career.

Also, McCall has made an effort to become more tech-savvy and now provides a video blog on his recently renovated website. The video blog will let fans get a behind the scenes look at McCall outside of the racecar. Throughout the season, McCall will continue to produce video blogs, including live video chats with fans.

McCall is excited for what the 2010 season will bring to his career as he continues his pursuit of driving full-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
